The Rotary District 6940 Conference was held March 30-April 1 in Tallahassee. Several awards and recognitions went to Pensacola area clubs. Our own President Jim Stolhanske received an Outstanding Club Leadership Award, as did Bill Spain of Pensacola Sub-West. President Jim also received a Presidential Citation along with Hal George of Gulf Breeze, James Jay of Navarre and Mike Handler of Pensacola North.
The Pensacola Rotary Club received top honors for the International/World Community Service Award and for Club Membership Improvement. Our club received Third Place for the Community Service Award.
