Rotary Club of Pensacola Club Members believe that reading is key to success for elementary school students. To help students favor the value of books and reading, the Club is donating a selected grade level book to each individual student at Oakcrest Elementary. To make each book even more special the Club gifts each book in honor of the Tuesday Meeting Guest Speaker.
The take-home books were presented to students by President Sally Fox and Board Member Lori NeSmith. Lori met with teachers and school administrators and shared “The More You Read, The More You Know” theme. Students were excited to receive their first books. President Fox said, “I believe in doing ‘do-goodery’ in the community and helping children learn to read supports Rotarian goals”.
